Exercises For Abs

Like many other people, I have battled with my midsection for as long as I can remember. My arms and legs are toned and thin (thanks to regular running), but somehow, my belly fat won’t go away. I have tried direct-impact exercises for abs but they don’t seem to be helping. So I did my research and found the RIGHT types of workout that actually deliver – and they don’t just involve the usual sit ups, crunches, or leg lifts!

Renegade dumbbell rows – Start in a push up position with your hands on two dumbbells. Now, “row” one dumbbell up while you stabilize your body with your other arm. Then, bring the lifted dumbbell back to the ground. Alternate your rowing arm while you stabilize with your opposite arm. This movement targets your core area. You will really feel your abs burn!

Mountain climbers –Start in push up position and shuffle your feet alternately, in and out. Your knees will move in under your chest, and then go back out to the starting position. This movement resembles mountain climbing, but you’re doing it flat on the floor.
